For those of us that have begun book two, here is a place to blog about it. Therefore, do not read the posts on this thread unless you are into book two or want to spoil the great mysteries that remain! I couldn't put the book down this weekend, so I finished it! I am already planning on getting the second one asap. So I thought I would put this thread in, when you guys finish we can all comment.

Hey ladies! So, it is August 15th, and I thought that I would get the ball rolling on our book club chat. I finished through chapter nine I think, whatever part one is, I finished it. So far I think the book is great! Kudos to Cortanie and Kelsey for choosing it, I really like it. What are your thoughts on the book?

Ok, so it is a little nerdy, but here is my daemon. Yesterday I went to 'The Golden Compass' website, it is actually a really cool site, and it has a preview of the movie trailer. For those of you who have seen the trailer, what do you think of the Cast? I actually pictured the characters very differently in my mind. I was a little suprised to see Nicole Kidman cast as Mrs. Coulter, for some reason I pictured her with dark hair and features, sort of like Catherine Zeta-Jones. Anyway, the site is cool, check it out!
